The 2022 hurricane season ended up being very difficult to predict. The team at Hart stays alert to weather advisories and warnings that may leave people, hospitals, and essential businesses without fuel and power. Our commitment is to be ready to assist when disaster strikes – and this year we had to remain vigilant as Hurricane Ian rolled in at the close of the season.
Hurricane Ian Hits Florida
Hurricane Ian struck Florida in late September. While early predictions categorized it as a Tropical Storm, it quickly evolved into a Category 4, and the strongest hurricane to hit Florida since 1935. Fortunately, Hart was already ramping up to help locals along the coast as they dealt with this devastating event.
Refueling During the Storm
As you can imagine during a category 4 storm, essential businesses require emergency relief – including generator refueling, fuel delivery, and fleet fueling – to help them provide services to locals. This became especially critical when providing fuel for generators at hospitals and blood donation centers during Hurricane Ida in 2021. During Hurricane Ian, the Hart team was proud to provide generator refueling and fuel services for:
- Service Stations
- Disaster Response Teams
- Convenience Stores
- Big Box Retailers
- Restoration Companies
- Cell Towers
- Food Distribution Centers
- Equipment Rentals
- Nursing Homes
- Apartment Complexes
Our team is still assisting in the clean-up of Hurricane Ian and will continue to help for months to come as Floridians work to put their homes, businesses, and lives back together.
